Sarat Pediredla and Alan Morris, formerly chief executive and chief technology officer of hedgehog lab, have joined forces to launch a new venture, LevelFive.

Back from semi-retirement

Pediredla, who founded hedgehog lab, has come out of semi-retirement for the launch. The pair believe AI has created a shift in software development on the scale of the arrival of the smartphone.

In their view, small teams of experienced people can now build products faster and more cheaply than was possible before, which is the model LevelFive is built around.

An opportunity for the region

Pediredla has argued the change could be particularly significant for the North East, allowing a region with a smaller population to compete through greater productivity rather than sheer numbers of staff.
