About us
Independent coverage of founders, business and technology across the North East.
North East Founders covers the people and companies building the region’s economy, from first-time founders to established firms, across Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, County Durham and Tees Valley.
What we cover
Founder stories, significant business news, the region’s tech and start-up scene, and a running tracker of deals and funding. Once a month, the best of it lands in The Monthly Briefing, our free newsletter.
How we work
We report from announcements, filings, interviews and public records, and we credit and link to other outlets when they break a story first. Our editorial standards explain how we source, write and correct our journalism.
Photography
Where we use photographs from Wikimedia Commons, we credit the photographer and licence beneath each image. Companies featured in our stories are welcome to send us their own press images.
