Hartlepool technology start-up KLIK SaaS, founded by Kelly M. Whitfield, has raised £300,000 as it prepares to take its platform to market.
The SEIS and EIS-backed round values the pre-revenue business at £6m. Investment came from independent backers including Malcolm Knott, who was chief executive of Industrial Technology Systems for more than 30 years.
What KLIK does
The platform lets organisations turn their existing websites into online community hubs, bringing member management, events, communication and recruitment tools into one place and reducing reliance on several third-party platforms.
Organisations keep control of their own data and can monetise their networks. The software can also be licensed for an entire industry.
Next steps
Whitfield is planning workshops and demonstrations for organisations interested in licensing the technology.
